Well it’s been exactly 1 week since I made Many Hats of Faith public. Since my commitment is to post at least once a week, then it looks like it’s time for me to post again…lol π I have a lot of topics I want to write about, because there are a lot of things that are on my heart. Making the time to write these things will be a challenge, but it’s definitely not impossible. Yesterday I was looking through my Bible for inspiration on what to write, and by both of the scriptures below I wrote the word “blog” by each. So for this post that’s where my focus will be.
Scriptures:
Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. (1 Corinthians 15:58)
Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. Let all that you do be done with love. (1 Corinthians 16:13-14)
When I read these verses it really jumped out at me for many different reasons. At the time I was taking a 90 day break from social media to get my woowsaw on with God. But those scriptures spoke to me in such a powerful way so I had to share in hopes to encourage someone else. With every hat I wear I’d be lying if I said it doesn’t get tough. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t want to give up. Sometimes I genuinely feel overwhelmed and discouraged. However, I see God’s hand in all the different roles I play, then it reminds me that He’s in control even when I think everything is out of control. Sometimes I honestly wonder why in the world we brought another child into our family, when our plates were already full, especially on the hard days. (I’m just being honest.) However, I’m reminded in these scriptures that our labor is not in vain. I’m also reminded how much we prayed about this, and I’m encouraged of what could happen with this child if we are steadfast, immovable, if we stand in our faith, if we are strong, and if we let all that we do be done in love. This scripture doesn’t only give me strength for our new family dynamic, but also with our career goals with Peacebe and KNC, and with all the hats I wear in this life. Basically walking by faith and not by sight is how I get through this life.
My encouragement to you, is that no matter what you are going through be brave, be strong, and let all you do be done with love. It will take work. You will labor, and sometimes you just might want to throw in the towel, but if it’s from the Lord, trust and believe that your labor is not in vain.
