Yesterday, I ran. I’m trying to actually do more of the things that I like to do during this time, so I went for a run. While I was running I saw a baby bird, that looked like a sparrow. Right away the lyrics from, Audrey Assad, came to my mind. “His eye is on the sparrow, and I know, He watches me.” This post actually won’t be too long. I will just get to the point. I know we all get anxious at times. However, I hope you can find peace in knowing that God cares for you, and He is with you. Just like He takes care of the birds in the sky, He is taking care of you and me also. My experience with the sparrow yesterday reminded me that sometimes what we’re looking for isn’t where we expect it to be, sometimes what we’re looking for can be in the wilderness. To make a long story short, when I was running back I wanted to take a picture of the sparrow. I didn’t find it in the trees, where I thought it’d be, but I did get a picture of a sparrow in the electric lines towards the end of my run. Sometimes when I run I get these quotes. Yesterday it was, “Don’t be so fixated on your way that you try and bypass God’s will.” Trying to take a picture of that sparrow, required me to slow down my pace a lot, but who really cares about time when you can get a picture of a sparrow in a time like this. Sometimes those little reminders can go a long way. “His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He’s watching me. He’s watching you and me….” I wanted to share a few scriptures for anyone that may be feeling anxious during this time, I hope these verses can bring some peace.
