Maaaaaaaaan!!!! Who would’ve thought writing one time a week would be such a challenge. I PROMISE you the last 7 days felt like just yesterday…LOL 🙂 Well in the spirit of consistency, a character trait I am always working on, I wanted to make sure I posted something today. Not only to post, but mainly to inspire someone, somehow.
My middle name is faith. The story behind my middle name is very special to me, so I will share it with you. When my mom was pregnant she had a series of X-rays done, but she never knew she was pregnant. She was married to my father at the time, and to make a long story short, one day he was trying to teach her karate, because he was a sensei. She didn’t want to learn, but went along with it, to appease him. During the practice she fell hard and cracked her coccyx bone. She tried to ignore the pain for a few days, but then it became unbearable. So they decided to go to the doctor. That’s when a series of X-rays were done. A few weeks later she had a different type of pain, and went to her gynecologist, and there she found out she was pregnant. After explaining she had several X-rays taken, her doctor recommended that she shouldn’t go through with the pregnancy. They went to 7 different doctors and everyone said the same thing! They told my parents that I would be a vegetable at best. My mom was scared, but had a lot of faith. Every single day during my mom’s pregnancy with me she prayed. Every. Single. Day. The night before she had me, my mom had a dream of little aliens swimming around and she was so scared to see how I would turn out. The day she pushed me out she was terrifed to open her eyes, because she didn’t know what she was going to open her eyes to. Well, when she FINALLY opened her eyes she was beyond grateful that she gave birth to a healthy, beautiful, baby girl!!! Her prayers were answered, and the doctors couldn’t explain it. That is the story behind my middle name. So even in the womb I had prayers over me, and I truly believe that has a big part of why I have so much faith today.
Below is a post I wrote on December 12, 2014. That was almost 4 years ago. Since then many more things can be added to the list of faith walks that have taken place in my life. However, I will definitely share all of that in time. My encouragement to you today is to keep the faith. Keep the fight, and find your purpose. For me my purpose was revealed when I took the time to build my relationship with Jesus.

(PS-As of now, 7/12/18 we have about 100 sets of books left….lol…but completely trusting God’s plan.)
2015- Left my job on faith. However, I put my faith more in the project than God. Got scared and went back to work.
2016- Switched schools and grades, and taught an amazing group of kids and met some really great parents.
2017-In August not only did I leave my job, but so did my husband! We completely put our trust in God, and learned that He provides.
2018-James and I are continuing on with our leap of faith. Since we left our jobs, KNC was blessed to partner with the YMCA and James is the travel basketball coordinator. I was blessed to become a consultant with a University making children’s books that focus on Social Emotional Learning and I have the best illustrator and partner ever, my brother, David Campbell who is also the illustrator and brand director for Peacebe 🙂
….To Be Continued 🙂
Those are the highlights…lol. There have been times when we’ve questioned, doubted, wanted to quit, cried, been exhausted, but we have definitely learned despite how we “feel,” God always provides. He will multiply the little you give him on faith in His good and perfect timing.
