What inspired this post?
I’m not going to lie I didn’t know what to expect when we were told that Hurricane Irma was coming. I even bought floaties for my mom and daughter because they couldn’t swim. We also checked out the ladder and attempted to see if we could get on the roof. Thankfully, it didn’t hit us hard. However, it devastated other places so in South Florida at the time we were in preparation mode. What inspired this post was hearing a lady that worked in Publix saying, “Bread, we have bread, who needs bread.”

I had an epiphany preparing for Hurricane Irma, and even posts from others after Irma reminded me of my epiphany, so I’m going to share. We were in Publix on Friday and the lady said, “Bread, we have bread, who needs bread…” It made me think that during times like these what TRULY matters is….Love, Peace, Bread and Water. Take away everything else, and thats what we really NEED. Then I realized what scripture says about each one and I was like…..Woah….
Love- 1 John4:8- Whoever does not love, does not know God, because God is love.
Peace-Isaiah 26:3-You will keep in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You..
Bread- John 6:35- I am the bread of life who ever comes to me will never go hungry…
Water- John 4:14- But whoever drinks the water I give them will never be thirsty.
So God is Love, He gives peace, and He’s also referred to as bread and water, so all we truly need is God in ALL the storms we face in this crazy beautiful life.
Just wanted to share.
