I believe God gives all of us talents. It has taken me 36 years to confidently say that my talent is writing. When I really think about it, I’ve been writing ever since I was a little girl. I’ve written 9 children’s books, but still never realized that writing was my gift, until a few years ago. I was watching Yo Gabba Gabba with my son when he was about 3 years old, and DJ Lance said, “A talent is something you love to do, and something you’re good at.” Sometimes you just have to make it simple even for us adults, and that’s when it hit me, writing is my talent….Thanks DJ Lance 🙂 I truly enjoy writing, I could write for days, and sometimes when I write something, someone will tell me it inspired them. I want to break out of my shell and share my writing with others in hopes to inspire anyone reading and give God the glory in the process. I write books, quotes, poems and songs, and in this section I will share some of my poems and songs.

I have a binder with over 60 poems and songs combined, and I don’t think I wrote all of that to keep it locked away. I get inspired to write when something shakes me to my core. It could be something amazing, something extremely sad, or something somewhere in the middle of both. These poems were inspired after the passing of 3 people in my life. So here are 2 of many more poems that I will share. Some of my songs and poems are really personal, but I’m sure I’m not the only person whose been through some tough times in life, so I hope I have the courage to share those as well, but at least this is a start 🙂
